Training for 2026

Training is designed to equip volunteers to rescue, rehabilitate and release native wildlife in the ACT. Whether you have never touched a native animal or have experience with native wildlife, our courses will teach the skills needed to begin to care or to take you to the next level.

Course details can be found here.

To volunteer with ACT Wildlife, you must be a financial member. You must be 18 years or over to volunteer or have an adult volunteer with you. The Membership form can be found here. You also must complete an Orientation training session (see below for dates) and view the Volunteer Introductory video. When you register to view this video, you will receive an email with a link to the video and it can be viewed at any time that is convenient for you.

Tickets to all training are sold through Humanitix. You will receive an acknowledgement of your registration and also a receipt from ACT Wildlife.
